What I teach: reading, science, leadership, writing, math.

 

Major topics I cover: Romantic Movement, America in the 1940’s, Romeo and Juliet, research reports, community service, problem solving in math, scientific inquiry process.

 

Special Projects or performances: 5th grade Wax Museum, 1940’s Fair, Holocaust Museum , senior citizen outreach, analogy contest, math contests, and Wisconsin Association of School Boards “Write and Illustrate Your Own Book Contest”.

 

Field trips: Camp Manitowish leadership training, Anne Frank production, Conserve School tour, Washington D.C.

 

 Awards I have won: Christopher Columbus teams have made it to finals 3 times. In 2002, one team won the Grand Prize of $25,000. In 2004, a student won first place in the WASB Write and illustrate Your Own Book Contest. There were also honorable mention winners for that contest in 2003, 2001, and 1999.
