Hello! 

I'm Ms. Erika Koniar, and I'm proud to be a Firebird because the staff and students here are brilliant, spirited, & fierce in everything they do! I am also an 8th grade Advisor and coach Lady Firebird basketball. This is my 15th year teaching and my 10th year at MHLT. I teach English Language Arts for the 8th Grade which includes: reading, spelling, grammar, writing, and vocabulary.

 

As we review and build upon these skills throughout the year, the 8th grade team also focuses on preparation for high school with increasing responsibility for the students.

 

When I'm not at school or coaching, I spend time with my husband, teenage children, fur babies, and chickens. I volunteer with my town fire department and enjoy hunting, fishing, traveling, and writing.
